The clients of this home were not afraid of new ideas which gave us the unique opportunity to create something really different in this space. There were some challenges – in particular the structural post in the hallway that went to the ceiling (when nothing else could). Our interior designers decided to make it a feature by wrapping it in glass and overlapping it with the stone slab of the fireplace to turn it into a beautiful unexpected art alcove. The concept for this space quickly became wrapping things… nothing ever really visually ended… materials turned corners and were either interwoven or overlapping adjacent materials.
